THE UPAL, PARTICIPATES IN ORURO IN THE NATIONAL VACCINATION PLAN AGAINST COVID 19
Assuming the important commitment to contribute effectively to preserve the health of the population, the Universidad Privada Abierta Latinoamericana UPAL and the Ministry of Health and Sports, on Thursday, May 6, signed an Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement, in order to contribute to the vaccination against Covid 19 in the Department of Oruro, thus contributing to the containment and reduction of infections by this disease.
This agreement will allow a coordinated approach to the National Vaccination Plan based on the availability of vaccines and necessary supplies, involving teachers and students from the Health area, who will make up health brigades trained in the procedures to follow and considering strict protocols. biosafety, while ensuring the conditions required such as the preservation of the cold chain of vaccines and the respective quality control.
The Convention also contemplates the coordination of research protocols that aim to generate knowledge that contributes to making relevant decisions in the vaccination process, such as: the effect of vaccines on the population, the immunogenicity of vaccines, the relationship of the impacts on socio-economic and demographic conditions, the ability of vaccines to immunize circulating genotypes, among others.
The UPAL, following its vocation of service, is preparing to carry out this important work for the benefit of the population, awaiting coordination with the relevant instances of the Ministry of Health in regard to procedures, protocols, provision of vaccines, dates, among others, to start the vaccination.
