A. Enrollments are made only in Bolivia, in person or through a representative who presents all the admission requirements to the University.
A. The admission requirements for Bolivian students are as follows:
Photocopy of the High School Degree legalized by the issuing High School institute or SEDUCA.
Original Birth Certificate.
Photocopy of valid Identity Card.
Two 3 X 3 cm size color photographs with beige or light background.
R. The admission requirements for foreign students to UPAL are:
1.- Photocopy of High School degree or equivalent document that enables you to pursue higher studies, legalized by:
Option 1
– Apostille Procedure (DS. 3541 of April 25, 2018) in the country of origin
Option 2
– Ministry of Education of the Country of Origin
– Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Country of Origin
– Bolivian Consulate in the Country of Origin
– Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Bolivia (Chancellery)
(both options are valid)
2.- Original Birth Certificate or photocopy, legalized by:
Option 1
– Apostille Procedure (DS. 3541 of April 25, 2018) in the country of origin
Option 2
– Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Country of Origin
– Bolivian Consulate in the Country of Origin
– Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Bolivia (Chancellery)
(both options are valid)
3.- Photocopy of a valid passport with student VISA or legal residence in Bolivia
4.- Two 3 x 3 size photographs with beige or light background
R. 1.- Certificate of Original Grades issued by the University of Origin
2.- Original or legalized photocopy of the Analytical Program of each subject to be validated
3.- Simple photocopy of the Study Plan of the course studied at the University of origin
4.- Photocopy of the Resolution that specifically authorizes the Opening and operation of the career attended at the University of Origin
* The validation of two Universities will be only accepted, and you must bring the documentation from both Universities of Origin separately

– The competent educational authority of the country of origin

* The validation of two Universities will be only accepted, and you must bring the documentation from both Universities of Origin separately
* Transfer students coming from Universities abroad, where the official language is not Spanish, will have to present the documents with an official Spanish translation.
– Letter addressed to the Rector requesting the subjects validation.
– Original certificate of grades, analytical programs and credit hours of the subjects attended, duly foliated and legalized by the university of origin.
– Certificate of good behavior issued by the university of origin.
– Photocopy of the resolution that specifically authorizes the opening of the career attended at the university of origin.

A. At UPAL all classes and tests are taught entirely in Spanish, as this is a requirement of the Bolivian Ministry of Education.
A. There is no Spanish course in the UPAL curriculum; however, the student can be contacted with a language institute to take Spanish lessons in our city.
A. Yes, the University has different agreements with universities abroad, which are constantly updated, if you want more information about it, go to UW (University Welfare).
A. You must take care of this process personally; however, UPAL offers guidance on procedures and has a database of trusted professionals, whom you can be contacted with, if you wish, to do your VISA procedures and other documents that you require.
