Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology

The psychologist trained at UPAL is a person of integrity, with strong values, socially responsible and committed, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to work in clinical, social, organizational, and educational fields. They are capable of identifying, evaluating, and proposing intervention, prevention, and solution strategies for various social and organizational interaction situations that arise among individuals, groups, institutions, and communities, with the goal of improving quality of life.

Graduation Modalities

1. Thesis
A research project characterized by its methodological and scientific rigor, aimed at providing demonstrable solutions and answers to a scientific problem by proposing applicable alternatives or practical or theoretical solutions.

2. Graduation Project
A written project that meets the requirements of scientific methodology, describing an organized set of resources and actions aimed at generating proposals related to plans, programs, models, prototypes, architectures, devices, codes, installations, and other applications for a given process, unit, organization, group, product, or service, for its improvement, innovation, modernization, or technological development.

Graduation Exam
An evaluation through oral or written tests to assess the effectiveness of the professional training process, evaluating knowledge, comprehension, analysis, and the application of theories and procedures to real situations in a specific discipline. The number of tests depends on the number of areas or disciplines involved in the professional practice.

Directed Work
A systematic and methodical project resulting from addressing a practical problem or specific topic, developed in a public or private institution, or product or service company, accredited and recognized in the student’s area of expertise, presenting a research-based improvement proposal.

Graduation by Excellence
Graduation by excellence is a modality that exempts outstanding students from other types or graduation modalities; they voluntarily choose this graduation modality.
